Emergency Response
A plumbing emergency is any situation involving active water damage, loss of essential services, or a health risk. Common emergencies include burst pipes flooding a basement, a fully backed-up main sewer line, and water heater failure during a cold snap.
Before the plumber arrives: shut off the main water supply if water is actively flowing, avoid using any drains if you suspect a sewer backup, and document visible damage with photos. For suspected gas leaks, contact ATCO Gas and emergency services immediately—do not attempt any repairs yourself.
